Our “Inspiration Feeder” presents to you short interviews with interesting visual artists from around the globe. Today in focus: Holger Nitschke.
How old are you?
I’m actually 41 years old (soon 42).
Where do you come from?
From northern Germany, I was born and raised near the north-coast, now I live and work near Oldenburg, which is around 70km’s from Bremen and 150km from Hamburg.
How long have you been doing photography?
I started photography back in 2004.
How long do you think it took you to find your personal style of shooting?
A good picture does not have to be technically perfect – mood and timeless expression is more weightful in my opinion. So I prefer black and white, noise, and simplicity.
How long do you think it took you to find your personal style of shooting?
Years, hundreds of shoots and I’m not sure if I ever get done or want to get done 🙂 It’s very important to learn, refine and try new things.
What would you say is the thing that most inspires you? / What is your main source of inspiration?
It’s a little split – first I would mention music, second photos of other photographers and last but not least movies or series with moody images.
