Our “Inspiration Feeder” presents to you short interviews with interesting visual artists from around the globe. Today in focus: Anna Lachut.
How old are you?
I am 36.
Where do you come from?
I was born in Poland. I came to the United States in 2009.
How long have you been doing photography?
I have been doing photography about 2 years.
How would you define your style?
My style is definitely black and white portrait photography.
How long do you think it took you to find your personal style of shooting?
Not very long. At the beginning it was more for fun. I tried lifestyle photography, family photography or Christmas sessions, but soon I discovered, that it was not for me. The portraits photography is what I love the most, especially black and white. I love to be creative and I love when my pictures are different than just normal portraits. Pictures in black and white are more expressive, mysterious, more dramatic and timeless.
What would you say is the thing that most inspires you? / What is your main source of inspiration?
My main source of inspiration is of course my own daughter. She is 4 and she is and always has been a great model to pose. She is my reason that is why I am so passionate about photography now.
I hope that someday I will have an opportunity to work with many children and learn more and more about photography.
