Our “Inspiration Feeder” presents to you short interviews with interesting visual artists from around the globe. Today in focus: Viktoria Haack.
How old are you?
I’m 50.
Where do you come from?
Originally from the UK but I have lived in Canada now for 12 years.
How long have you been doing photography?
Seriously for approximately 15 years.
How would you define your style?
I’m not sure that I have a style but I am heavily influenced by the natural world around me. Environment has always played a strong part in my photography, as has the capture of emotion and mood.
How long do you think it took you to find your personal style of shooting?
I have lived in some beautiful places since I started my journey into photography, that environment has played a big part in my photography for as long as I can remember. I don’t recognize that I have a personal style so I find that a difficult question to answer.
What would you say is the thing that most inspires you? / What is your main source of inspiration?
I am most inspired by environmental factors: Weather, landscape, light. I keep an eye on weather forecasts and things like the potential for snow or frost often inspire me to get outside and shoot.
